Iron Oxide Red Powder 100g – Cosmetic-Grade Pigment | Earth Nourish

Cosmetic-grade iron oxide red powder (100g) for colouring DIY makeup, soaps and cosmetics.

How It Works

Iron oxide red is an insoluble mineral pigment. The fine particles do not dissolve. Instead they spread through your formula and give it an opaque, stable red colour. The more you add, the deeper the shade.

Key Benefits

• Stable, long-lasting colour that resists fading
• Mineral pigment, popular for lip products, blushes, soaps and tints
• Can be mixed with other iron oxides to create custom shades
• Strongly pigmented, so a little goes a long way

Ingredients

Iron Oxides, CI 77491 (INCI). Single ingredient.

How to Use

• Start with a low amount, around 0.1-2%, and add more until you reach the shade you want.
• Mix the powder into a little oil or glycerin first to break up lumps, then blend it into your formula.
• Test colour on a small sample before making a full batch. It can stain hands, tools and surfaces.
• Patch test the finished product. Avoid inhaling the powder. Keep out of reach of children.
• Storage: keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place.

Use levels are typical guidance only. Always test your formulation and follow the cosmetic regulations in your country.
